Title: windows System Administrator (19 Positions)

Location: Herndon, VA

Duration: 3+ months

Only GC's and US Citizens

The duration of this engagement is an initial 3 months with a potential to extend based on need and performance. This is a 4 year project. The candidates for these positions will be reporting to their office in Herndon Virginia. They are setting up phone interviews for next week.

We are currently seeking Windows System Administrator for a large government contract. These positions will handle a variety of responsibilities including: configuring, monitoring and maintaining Windows operating systems. Additionally, these positions are responsible for ensuring that all servers operate at optimum levels. The candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and should be comfortable working in a team environment. Candidates should be willing to work flexible hours. On-call and after hours support is a requirement of this position.

Additional job requirements include:

· Perform and coordinate effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on servers.

· Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolving software related problems.

· Execute release packages (install SW), verification plans, and customer support

Required Skills:

At least 5 years working experience with Mid range Operating Systems for the following OS - Windows 2003, VMware 3.5, Perform hardware/software diagnostics. Ability to work effectively in team environment. Thorough knowledge of configuring, monitoring and maintaining operating systems, application migrations. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring that all servers operate at optimum levels. The candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable working in a team environment. Should be able to support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. Knowledge of shell scripting, creating and running of release scripting packages
