Global data services company looking for experienced developer with ‘get it done’ attitude.  The project is a real time data feed with ultra high performance and reliability needs. Data must be streamed globally to customers in real time. This specific project will be developing Low Latency Applications and systems solutions in order to improve win rates by making the News Scope Direct offering faster to keep our market offering competitive. We are looking for a very experienced person in the high performance networking area.

 

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Analysis, development of code and support of small applications meeting the needs of News Editorial written in C++.

 

Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:

The following skills are MINIMUM requirements. Our expectation would that the candidate would EXCEED these requirements.

C++/Visual Studio            – 4+ years

C#.Net                                 - 1+ years

TCP/IP                                  - 1+ years

Deep understanding of tranport protocols like TCP/IP, FTP, UDP, HTTP and SOAP etc

 

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Strong communications skills and ATTITUDE

Candidate MUST have the ability to work independently

The performance bar is set extremely HIGH

 

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:

1. .NET framework Development

2. Ultra low latency development experience

3. Understanding of real time systems – STRONG PLUS

 

BONUS: Java experience!

 

Financial experience does not matter. More importantly, performance is number one.

 

Interview schedule:

Very heavy technical interviews and the candidate will be presented with a series of problems

1)      Phone screen (15-30min)

2)      In-person interview
