Title: Project Manager exp w/ Investment Banking exp.
Location: NYC

Duration: 6 months

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

•       Identify issues and create an overall roadmap on how to improve our Capacity Program

•       Partner with the IBIT product lines and our infrastructure groups to agree IB Capacity strategy.

•       Achieve consensus on approach to Capacity Management modeling (Resource modeling, demand modeling, predictive models)

•       Ensure all changes are performance tested.

•       Work with infrastructure to improve capacity measurements, track improvement plans (process and/or new tools)

•       Communicate current status of the capacity program to IT and Business groups.

•       Work with the IB product lines to understand business demand

•       Create monthly capacity dashboard

•       Create resource plan including possible use of vendors to assist in our capacity efforts.

 

Essential

- At least 7 years of professional experience in Technology Infrastructure or Application Development.  3 + years of experience managing teams (direct and matrixed) preferably in an IT organization within Financial Services.

- Previous experience in working with Engineers and / or architects in the development of new product requirements.

- Previous experience dealing with internal customers and discussing / agreeing on priorities, allocation of resources and deadlines.

- Capacity program/project experience

- Understanding of application architecture

- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure capacity management techniques

- Understanding of statistical modelling

- An analytical approach to problem solving

- Ability to manage teams without solid reporting lines

- Ability to work with application teams and relationship managers to understand business demand for IT infrastructure

- Excellent presentation skills

- Strong process, mediation and facilitation skills

- Strong ability to manage through systems.  Must possess the ability to design, establish and communicate practices, processes and procedures which allow the team to operate efficiently and effectively with high levels of customer service.

 

Desirable

- Some key qualities required are strong leadership, adaptable, embraces change, customer focus, achieving results, Decision making, Commitment and dedication, Diplomacy, Financial acumen.

- I nvestment Banking business knowledge, and the common usage requirements for IT by various business groups

- ITIL Foundation Certification a plus

- Prior experience in leading a Capacity Management initiative and/or function (technical and/or functional)

- Experience in Performance Testing
