Responsibilities :

 

• ETL Design and development using Abinitio .
• Take ownership of designing solutions . System Analysis & Design .
• Strong Abinitio ETL design skills . Involved in Ab Initio Design, Configuration
• .experience in Ab Initio ETL, Data Mapping, Transformation and Loading in complex and high-volume environment and data processing at Terabytes level.
• Capacity of designing solutions around AbInitio, with advanced skills in high performance and parallelism in AbInitio .
• DataWarehousing implementation experience . Knowledge of Oracle 8i/9i .
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills .
• Strong UNIX, korn shell scripting experience.
• Experience in leading a team of ETL developers .
• Experience in co-ordinating with offshore on development / maintenance projects
• Degree educated in a computing, engineering or scientific discipline 8 years + (total IT), 5+ yrs project experience as Designer/Tech lead.
• Should have worked on at least 2 Abinitio projects .
• Abinitio  Oracle 8i/9i RDBMS, PLSQL, Database Stored Procedures .
• Scripting skills with Unix Korn shell, Perl .
• Good experience in understanding business requirements and translating these to schema requirements, good understanding of data profiling, meta data, ETL and reporting.

ETL Data Manager

Location:Dallas,

Rate:$42/hr

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Description:

 

-          Auto finance lending business domain knowledge preferable

-          Lead execution of Data Management process (ex. Metadata, data quality, modeling, PII, retention etc.) for business areas.

• Contribution of the business metadata

-          Strong ETL background through which data movement decision can be done

-          Data quality knowledge and experience  is must

-          Strong in Data governance process

-          Sound database knowledge

-          Knowledge of the data sources, transformation rules, and uses of the data for the area of stewardship

-          Assist in data modeling processes across the various areas, and report on compliance on regular basis

 

Requirements:

 

• Having DWH experience of 5-8 years, with experience in SAS, SQL
• Proficient in Data Management Processes
• Expertise in establishing quantifiable parameters to measure compliance to Governance Process.
• Proficiency in SAS/SQL and ETL technologies for development, enhancement or analysis.
• Excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills
• Skilled in understanding the business context of data
• Self motivated who takes head start with minimum support

Overall 8-10 years of DW experience having worked in end-end DW lifecycle implementation projects

 

Relevant exp (3-4 years in Metadata projects)

 

DW Experience (5-8 years), Overall IT (8 years plus)

   

·         Overall 8-10 years of DW experience having worked in end-end DW lifecycle implementation projects

 

·         Worked on Metadata capture in financial services industry.

 

·         Experience on a Metadata tool like Rochede is a plus

 

·         Worked as a lead handling customer and 5-7 member onsite-offshore team

 

·         Should be motivated and self driven and be able to work with minimal directions.

 

·         Data Modeling experience.

 

·         Strong analytical & problem solving skills

 

·         Strong interpersonal / communication skills

 

 Should participate in design and development the project to capture the Business and technical metadata, including the data lineage.

 

Individual delivery responsibility from initiating discussions with system analysts, business user, highlevel design, low level design in leading the Metadata capture and it implementation later using Rochade.
