Role: With agreed to objectives, is fully responsible for the quality of their work assignment. Works towards continuous improvement of the BSA practice. Provides supervision, coaching, mentoring and training to peers. Participates in peer documentation reviews. Operates autonomously. Provides work direction to others. Following AQMS (quality) standards and techniques. Estimating and planning business analyst work efforts. Gathering, analyzing, document and managing requirements. Creating and implementing test plans. Implementation, including Production check out, user and technical documentation and archiving project documentation. Lead BSAs may specialize in testing and or requirements. 

     The Lead BSA will work on complex/diverse projects with duration of < 24 months, a project size of 5,000 or more and has a high project risk level. They will manage and maintain the business partner relationships for each assignment. Act as Point of Contact for the business partners. Possess the ability to translate for the business or technology and to share expertise and mentor others. They will influence and shape outcomes for business needs and present solutions to senior leadership. Ameriprise may require additional certifications for this role. 

     These certifications may include (but not be limited to): AQMS, Six Sigma, and PMI. Must demonstrate abilities in the following areas: Standards & Techniques: Coach and mentor others on AQMS standards and deliverables based on project path. Drive completion of project work objects and deliverables. Compile and publish AQMS deliverables and facilitate walkthroughs. Has knowledge of Six Sigma methods and tools. Participates in AQMS reviewer pool for QA. Has knowledge to select appropriate analysis and testing techniques for each assignment. Has knowledge of the IT standards and strategy. Estimating: Coach and mentor others in estimating and planning BSA work efforts on a project. Analysis: Facilitates mentors, gathers, analyzes, documents and manages requirements on large projects. Utilizes analysis tools and artifacts. Identifies issues and risks and develops strategies to resolve issues and mitigate risks. Facilitates requirements and development meetings. Collaborates with Portfolio Architects to ensure alignment with requirements. Strategizes to resolve issues and mitigate risk. Monitors and mentors Traceability and Change Control processes on projects from requirements through design. Test: Mentors and drives the following processes: Coordination of testing. Providing input to and recommending testing solutions. Creating test schedule, status reporting, test approach, test plan, test cases, conditions and scripts. Ensures testing environment has sufficient test data. Executes system and integration test scripts. Coordinates UAT preparation and execution. Coordinates and validates results and output. Records errors and pursues issues and risks. Manages and facilitates PTR meetings. Reports test status and metrics. Implementation: Defines, mentors, drives and monitors implementation tasks: Production check out review of reports, data files, on-line screens. Project Closure: Defines, creates, mentors and drives project closure documentation: Update of user & technical procedures/manuals, operational support documentation, archival of project documentation. Facilitates support training sessions. Technical Tools: Microsoft Office, Process Max /Clarity, AQMS, TSO, PACBASE, Visio, DOORS, Provision, Mercury Test Director: Demonstrated proficient experience with these tools. Analysis Artifacts: Demonstrated proficient experience completing: Requirements List, Non-Functional RequirementsProcess Model, Use Cases, Data Journal, Business Rule Catalog, Wire Frames: Influence: Opportunities to influence: Has a significant effect on the area of IT work.
