Description

Construct, test, and implement complete extract, transform, and load (ETL) environment for the DOT Integrated Data Warehouse. Execute steps that will enhance ETL functionality of the DOT Data Warehouse. Build, test, and implement ETL processes based upon designs, providing feedback for the enhancement of those designs.

Mandatory Experience
* Three years experience in ETL development in an enterprise data warehouse environment
* Previous experience as DataStage ETL Developer for at least one data warehouse projects for New Jersey State government
* Two years experience in using Ascential DataStage Server and Enterprise Edition in an Oracle-hosted Data Warehouse environment
* Experienced in using DataStage Basic (DSBASIC) Language
* Experienced in Source to Target mapping between legacy systems and target databases
* Experienced in using TOAD
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Additional Desired Experience
* Experienced in using File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
* Experienced in using UNIX Shell Scripting
* Experienced in using Erwin CASE tool

Job title:Engagement Manager

Location:NJ

Gather requirements and develop an integrated fully normalized, fully attributed, fully documented logical data model for the DOT Integrated Data Warehouse using State Govt standards and the Erwin CASE tool. Transform the logical data model into a physical data model for implementation. Design dimensional data models as required for dependent data marts. Create source-to-target mappings for all data structures. Make recommendations to enhance ETL functionality.
Mandatory Experience
* Previous experience as Engagement Manager with Data Modeling for at least two data warehouse projects for New Jersey State government
* Three years experience in fully normalized Logical Data Modeling
* Two years experience in using Erwin CASE Tool (Erwin Release 7 experience required)
* Two years experience in designing logical and physical data models for a normalized Oracle-hosted Data Warehouse
* Two years experience in designing dimensional data models for Oracle-hosted Data Marts
* Experienced in Source to Target mapping between legacy systems and target databases
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Oracle DBA

Location:Trenton NJ

Duration:6 Months+

 

Description

 

Develop physical databases in Oracle based upon designs provided by Data Architect. Monitor database activity to correct problems and tune for performance. Make recommendations to optimize designs and processes for both loading and accessing data. Work with the BusinessObjects developer to optimize database indexing strategies for data access. Make recommendations to enhance data warehouse functionality.

 

Mandatory Experience

* Five years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (including 10g experience)

* Previous experience with data warehouse/data mart Data Base environment for at least one data warehouse projects for New Jersey State government

* Three years experience as lead DBA for Oracle-hosted Data Warehouse environments (including 10g experience), with responsibilities for tuning for optimal performance, designing and supporting Oracle multi-level partitioning for tables and indexes, designing and supporting Oracle Materialized Views, and supporting and tuning Star Schema Data Marts

* Experienced in using Oracle 10g Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

* Experienced in using Oracle 10g Advanced Data Buffer Management

* Experienced in using Oracle 10g Oracle Automated Workload Repository
