This project calls for merging two environments into one. Data Conversion background or Securites background highly desired.

The Project Manager will be expected to deal with developers, B.A.’s and clients.

Strong Communication skills a must. Experience with large scale project management a must ( 2500-3000 hrs.). Must have experience dealing with clients.. Mainframe background a plus as well as PMP Certification.  Please see the rest of the qualifications below. ( document is 2 pages). Data Conversion background or Securites background

 

The Project Manager works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude consulting or operational projects. Gathers, analyzes, translates and delivers information in clear, concise and meaningful formats based on specific project and/or program requirements and according to established project management corporate standards. Provides input to project research; provides administrative and analytic support to the Project/Program Manager. May lead or coordinate a project sub-team and/or project activities, but will receive general direction from more senior Project or Program Managers.  Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude consulting or operational projects. Gathers, analyzes, translates and delivers information in clear, concise and meaningful formats based on specific project and/or program requirements and according to established project management corporate standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES will vary depending on the project and may include:

• Collection and reporting of development, operational, and/or organizational metrics

• Assist in developing & managing work plans, budgets, and timelines

• Assist in determining and securing resources

• Proactively manage project scope and change process

• Provide regular project status reports

• Conduct project After Action Reviews

• Demonstrate departmental and corporate team-building skills

• Coordinate organization-wide initiatives

• Assist in identifying interdependencies for all projects and facilitate communication among task groups

• Proactively identify project risks and issues; provide advice on mitigation strategies

• Update and maintain program documentation

• Receive Project Charter and high-level project plans; internalize the essence and intent of the project and work to achieve a documented mutual understanding of the project by providing feedback through probing questions, discussion, and negotiation with the Project Manager

• Assist in recruiting resources required to implement the project plan. Assign individuals to sub-tasks. Effectively communicate and align expectations.

• Run reports, monitor programs and, when necessary take corrective action to align actual with budget.

• Ensure that quality assurance reviews are conducted in accordance with the project plan.

• Document the value created and delivered each reporting period and provide it to the lead Project Manager.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

• Demonstrate leadership/ability to influence others

• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management/Planning experience

• Must have good analytical problem solving skills

• Proactive personality and proven leadership skills

Knowledge of MicroSoft Project Server 2007 & MicroSoft Office

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle(s)

• Above average organization, interpersonal, & communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task

• Action-oriented

• Experience interacting with internal & external stakeholders

• Above average oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work as a team member

• Experience building successful client relationships or internal team relationships

• Ability to design programs and tasks

• Ability to proactively identify and recommend program improvements

• Evidence of seeking and/or excepting added responsibility and delivering on said responsibility

 

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Will consider very strong applicable industry experience in leu of.
