Position Description:

* Responsible for systems support, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, problem resolution tracking, software upgrades, application support and optimization, and project implementation planning for enterprise web applications.

* Ensures solutions meet business objectives, and establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidence in IT services.

Technical Requirements of the position

* Must be able to work 80% of the time on the UNIX / Linux command line.
* Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.
* Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
* Interact with non-technical colleagues and communicate issues in layman's terms.
* Document procedures for use by other engineers.
* BEA Web Logic Application Server 8.x, 9.x, 10.x
* Sun ONE Web Server 7.0 and 6.x
* Apache web server 2.x
* Oracle Identity Management
* perl scripting
* UNIX shell scripting
* Solaris 2.8, 2.9, 10
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, 5
* Protocols: HTTP, SSL, J2EE, Servlet, JSP, JDBC, LDAP
* Nice to have: Apache Tomcat, JBOSS
