Description:

- Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems
- Creation of detailed infrastructure engineering specifications for initiatives in accordance with business requirements and Client’s server farm architecture guidelines
- Create network designs for new POPs, datacenters, transport circuits, and WDM systems worldwide, working closely with upstream network architects
- Assists users to identify and solve complex data and/or voice or other communication problems
- Coordination with infrastructure build and support teams to ensure systems are implemented to specifications
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Ability to program and troubleshoot routers and switches
- May write technical specifications to send to vendors for bid
- Perform other duties that may include new product testing, quality assurance, hardware testing, documentation, and the design or modification of customer technical training programs

Required Skills:
-Requires a bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area
-Requires considerable knowledge of computer operations, telecommunications equipment, software applications that are used within a networking environment Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
-Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
-May lead and direct the work of others.
-Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
-Knowledge of systems architecture to include servers (UNIX and Windows), LAN/WAN technology and security infrastructure
-Understanding of network architectures and routing principals
