Position: ETL Datastage Developer

Location: Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Duration: 6 Months

 

-Minimum 7 years working IT experience

 

Position Specific Experience

Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years experience with the following capabilities:

-Data Profiling

-Front End estimates, timelines, design documents with Datastage

-Define/design the ETL components (e.g., ETL processes, staging database, metadata management, data quality)

-Work with analysts and if required, end users, to understand and document ETL requirements.

-Develop detailed ETL design documents, ETL specifications and data mappings based on requirements.

-Ensure efficient transform, extract, load of data sets, and be able to clearly interpret business requirement specifications into detailed ETL data mappings.

-Design, develop, unit test, and implement mappings / ETL routines, including data quality processes.

-Design, document and execute ETL system and integration test plans.

-Working with production support team, define production release requirements

-Support database development including stored procedures and advanced SQL techniques

-Able to diagnose DSS system performance issues and recommend and implement performance tuning options.

-Can act as a “technical data expert” and mentors less experienced colleagues in addressing data-related problems of systems integration and compatibility

-Develops and maintains appropriate repositories of data model and dataflow diagrams relating to the data warehouse

-Keeps current with database, data modeling and data warehousing trends and technological innovations in order to make appropriate development recommendations.

-Minimum 3 years experience with IBM Information Integration (formerly Ascential Software) required.
